Andover, Ohio - Paul A. Mullen, age 75, a lifelong resident of Andover, died on Tuesday, August 22, 2006. He was born on July 19, 1931 in Andover, Ohio to Bliss B. Mullen and Etta M. (Hellyer) Mullen-Johnson. Paul was a 1949 graduate of Andover High School. After high school, Mr. Mullen served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Paul was a sales representative for the Wonder Bread-Hostess Cake Company for 38 years, retiring in 1993. He was member of the Andover First United Methodist Church, the Triandria Masonic Lodge of Rock Creek, the Covered Bridge Chaper Order of the Eastern Star # 591, a life member of the Percy D. Hyatt Post 226 American Legion, and the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Cleveland 32 degree Freemasonry. Paul was an avid lover of Dachsunds, he enjoyed showing horses, playing golf, spending time with his grandchildren and was a generous friend to many. Nearly 54 years ago he married Peggy L. Jordan on September 26, 1952. He is preceded in death by his parents, his step-father Harry Johnson; a sister, Idah Rodebaugh and a Step-brother Richard Johnson. Survivors include his wife, Peggy L. Mullen of Andover, a son Gregory G. (Lynn) Mullen of Fletcher, Ohio; a daughter Paula S. (John) McGrath of Gustavus; a sister Miriam E. Piper of Ashtabula; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio with Rev. Peter Elencovf officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 25, 2006 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
