Pauline C. Maruschak, age 93, of Germantown, Tennessee, died Friday, May 14, 2010 at home. She was born March 5, 1917, in Painesville, OH, a daughter of Walter and Helen (Nye) Lohse. Formerly of Greenville, Pennsylvania, and Andover and Painesville, Ohio, Mrs. Maruschak was employed as a buyer by the Carlisle Allen Co. in Painesville for several years. She later was a bookkeeper for Laird Lumber Co. and Union Sand and Gravel in Painesville, where she retired in 1982. Mrs. Maruschak was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Andover, where she was a member of the Mission Society and Altar and Rosary Society. Her hobbies included reading and playing cards. Mrs. Maruschak married Andrew G. Maruschak on July 27, 1936; and he preceded her in death on February 14, 2007. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Esther Nellies. She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Ann (Jerry)Yates of Germantown, TN; her four grandchildren, Virginia Vaughn of Abilene, TX, Robert Yates and Brian Yates, both of Chicago, IL, and Barbara Yates of Memphis, TN; and her three great grandchildren, Zachary and Jordan Vaughn, and Ethan Yates. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 481 South Main St., Andover, OH, with Rev. Kevin McCaffrey officiating. A private burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Painesville, Ohio. Food and time of fellowship will be held immediately following the Mass at the church hall.
