Pauline E. Penfield

Pauline E. Penfield, age 86, of Williamsfield,OH, died Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at Jefferson Health Care Center. She was born December 15, 1929, in Geneva, PA, a daughter of Bert M. and Ina (Henry) Abbott. Formerly of Conneautville, PA, Mrs. Penfield was a long time Williamsfield resident. She was a graduate of East Fallowfield High School; and was employed by Packard Electric in Warren, Ohio, retiring in 1993. She was a member of the Williamsfield United Methodist Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Andover. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, crafts, gardening, and traveling. Mrs. Penfield married Harry S. Penfield on March 6, 1948. He preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 1995. She is also preceded by her parents; her grandson, James E. Penfield; two sisters, Doris Miller and Vera Work; and one brother, Vern Abbott. She is survived by her son, Robert H. (Ethel) Penfield of Springboro, PA; her great niece she raised, Rebecca A. (Dallas) Parsons of Conneaut, OH; her great nephew that was like a son, Brian Penfield of Williamsfield, OH; step grandchildren, Patty (John) Brown, Chris Fies, Danny (Nikki) Fies; five step great grandchildren, Lexi, Conner, Garrett, Alex, and Abby; one brother, Edward (Lilane) Abbott of New York; one sister, Emma (Howard) Saxton of Florida;and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 28, 2016, at 2:00 PM at the Williamsfield United Methodist Church, corner of Rts. 7 and 322, Williamsfield, OH, with Pastor Pat Seger officiating. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service. A private interment of cremated remains will take place later in Williamsfield Center Cemetery.
