Williamsfield, Ohio - Phyllis J. Johnson, age 71, died at her home on Tuesday, February 9, 2010, with her family by her side. She was born on November 11, 1938, in Auburn, Ohio, the daughter of Olive Mary (Hughes) and Joseph N. Drnek. On February 5, 1955, she married Gene J. Johnson, Sr. Mrs. Johnson was formerly a member of the First Baptist Church of Woodbridge, Virginia. She was a resident in Woodbridge from 1970 until moving to Williamsfield in 1994. Mrs. Johnson had a passion for gourmet style cooking. She is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband of fifty-five years, Gene J. Johnson, Sr. of Williamsfield, Ohio; three daughters, Cheryl A. (Frank) Watkins of Lewisburg, West Virginia, Teresa L. (Mike) Swan of Stafford, Virginia and Colleen S. (Tim) Wertz of Woodbridge, Virginia; four sons, Gene J. (Elizabeth) Johnson, Jr. of Annandale, Virginia, Mark A. (Betty) Johnson of Springfield, Virginia, Kevin L. (Gina) Johnson of Arlington, Texas and Jason P. Johnson of Williamsfield, Ohio; four brothers, Richard Drnek of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Ronald "Joe" (Gigi) Drnek and Robert (Thelma) Drnek both of Andover, Ohio and Raymond (Sue) Drnek of Williamsfield, Ohio; 8 granddaughters, Lisa, Katie, Kimberly, Catherine, Mia, Audrey, Jennifer, and Melanie, 7 grandsons, Chris, Steven, Kyle, Vince, Sean, David, and Eric; and 3 great grandchildren, Jackson, Alexus, and Jayden; along with many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at 4:00pm at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3:00pm until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family.
