Kinsman, Ohio - Polly S. Geyer, age 79, died on Thursday, October 16, 2008, at her residence with her family by her side. She was born on April 28, 1929, in Neola, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Virgil "Bub" E. Cole and Lula G. (Eckard) Cole. Mrs. Geyer owned and operated Polly's Clothing Store in Kinsman for over twenty five years. She attended the Kinsman Chapel of Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Mrs. Geyer was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary Kinsman Volunteer Fire Department and volunteered at the fire department for the Senior Citizens gatherings. She loved her dogs and enjoyed bowling. On May 7, 1949 she married Donald A. Geyer. He died on August 20, 1997. Mrs. Geyer is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 48 years; a sister, Juanita Wood and two brothers, Virgil and William Cole. Survivors include a daughter, Katheryn G. (Matthew) DeBack of Albuquerque, New Mexico; a son James P. (Vicki) Geyer of Kinsman, Ohio; a daughter in heart, Carol Sciscinger of Fowler, Ohio; a sister Ora Henson of Countonville, West Virginia, a brother Danielle Cole of Austinburg, Ohio; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael, Lisa, Jimmy, Jamie and Shannon; and five great grandchildren, Lexis, Evan, Allison, Gabrielle and Gavin. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio, with Rev. Howard M. Darr officiating. Burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 19th from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
