Ralph Lee Newcomb, age 81, of Kinsman, Ohio died Sunday, November 6, 2005 at his home. He was born September 4, 1924 in New Lyme Township, Ohio to R.B.C. Newcomb, Sr. and Laura O. (Lamb) Newcomb. A long time Kinsman and Andover resident, Mr. Newcomb was a draftsman of sawmills and related equipment. He owned and operated Andover Treeman, Inc. for many years in Andover, later moving his business to Kinsman. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a member of the Kinsman United Methodist Church. Mr. Newcomb was an avid reader and great poet, and enjoyed carpentry and woodworking. Mr. Newcomb is survived by his three daughters, Linda N. Ryan of Dayton, OH, Rita J. Terrago of Raleigh, NC, and Karen G. Oman of Williston, FL; one sister, Elaine Bryan of Williamsfield,OH; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Irene Fetters and Doris Dreyer; and one brother, Roland Newcomb, Jr. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. at the Kinsman United Methodist Church,8362 Main St., Kinsman, Ohio, with Rev. Marian Glass officiating. Burial will follow in Cherry Valley Cemetery, St. Rt. 6, Cherry Valley Township, OH. Calling hours will be on Saturday from 11 A.M. until the time of service at 1 P.M.
