Kinsman, Ohio, - Ralph C. Scott, age 91, died on July 24, 2007. He was born on December 31, 1915 in Kinsman, Ohio to Walter C. and Elizabeth A. (Stanley) Scott. A lifelong Kinsman resident, Mr. Scott was a 1933 graduate of Kinsman High School. He was a 1939 graduate of Ohio State University. Mr. Scott served in the United States Army during World War II. He served in the Asiatic-Pacific theater and received two bronze stars for his service. Mr. Scott was the Biology and Industrial Arts teacher for Hartville High School for over thirty years and retired in 1970. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, reading, furniture refinishing and working with leather. Mr. Scott shared his leather talent with the Kinsman Boy Scouts. He is preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Ruth E. Eshler. Survivors include a sister, Florence Ruger of Silver Springs, Maryland; caregiver and niece, Judy M. (David) Kenreich of Salem, Ohio; nieces, Brenda Appleman, Carol Swomley, Beth Fabey, and Mary Mumert; and nephews Jacob Eshler, Gary Eshler, and Larry Rueger, along with many great nieces and nephews. A private burial of cremated remains will be held in Kinsman Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
