RAMON J. DRESNEK SR., age 79, died on Thursday, December 28, 2006 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born on June 7, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio to Albert L. and Martha Ann (Healy) Dresnek. Formerly of Cherry Valley and Bloomington, Indiana, Mr. Dresnek lived in Williamsfield, Ohio for the past twenty years. Mr. Dresnek served in the United States Army, state side during World War II. A foreman for the General Electric Co. Mr. Dresnek worked both in Cleveland, Ohio and in Bloomington, Indiana for over 35 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of Andover's Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church; the Burton Woolery Post number 18 American Legion, and AM-VETS both in Bloomington, Indiana; a life member of Percy D. Hyatt Post number 9519 V.F.W. of Andover, Ohio. Mr. Dresnek enjoyed woodworking and building wooden cars. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son Ronald Lee Dresnek, an infant grandson and a brother Albert Dresnek. Survivors include his wife of fifty-seven years, Mildred DiBell whom he married on May 7, 1949, she resides in Williamsfield, Ohio; two daughters, Patricia J. (Jesse) McGinn and Carol A. Dresnek both of Ellettsville, Indiana; three sons, Ramon J. Dresnek Jr. of Williamsfiled, Ohio, William E. (Vicki) Dresnek of Jefferson, Ohio, and Jeffery L. Dresnek of Ellettsville, Indiana; a brother, Leo (Shirley) Dresnek of Anchorage, Alaska; twelve grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio with Father Kevin McCaffrey officiating. Burial will follow in Gustavus Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 2nd from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
