Ray "Snuffy" J. Smith

Andover, Ohio - Ray Jerome "Snuffy" Smith, age, 67, died at home with his family by his side on Thursday, July 11, 2013. He was born on February 15, 1946, in Warren, Ohio, a son of Theodora Ruth (Waid) and Ray Oscar Smith. Snuffy was a 1965 graduate of Pymatuning Valley High School and served in the United States Army. On September 14, 1974, he married Sandi Lee McGill. Snuffy was a meat inspector for the State of Ohio for over thirty years. He loved to spend time with all three of his grandchildren, going to flea markets and fairs, watching Nascar, reading and finding a good deal. Snuffy is preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his wife of thirty-eight years, Sandi L. Smith of Andover, Ohio; a son, Anthony O. (Michelle) Smith of Andover, Ohio; his mother, Theodora R. Smith of Orwell, Ohio; two sisters, Mary (Ron) Jones of Dorset, Ohio and Darlene (Brad) Edelman of Orwell, Ohio; a brother, Arnold (Kathy) Smith of Dorset, Ohio, and three grandchildren, Katelyn, Garrett and Hunter. A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 15, 2013 at 2:00pm at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio with Rev. John L. Annandono officiating.
