Rebecca A. Collins

Kinsman, Ohio - Rebecca Ann Collins, age 67, died on Saturday, February 10, 2024, after an extended illness. She was born on June 12, 1956, the oldest of four daughters, of Joyce Eileen (Dreer) and Guy Walter Jackson. A lifelong area resident, Becky was a 1974 graduate of Joseph Badger High School.

Becky began her working career at the former Caroselli’s Italian Restaurant in Kinsman, where she worked for many years until she began working at the former Johnson Rubber of Middlefield, Ohio. After they closed, Becky became a part of the staff at Doctors Jeffery Bedlion and Sabrina Varga's office until she retired in 2020. She was an EMT and served for the Burghill/Vernon Volunteer Fire Department as well as the Johnston Volunteer Fire Department, having forty-three years of service as an EMT.

Becky was a Girl Scout and later became a Girl Scout volunteer for many years. She enjoyed spending summer weekends camping and spoiling her grandchildren. Becky liked to solve word searches and complete adult coloring books. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; and a great-grandson, Ezra Ronquillo. Survivors include her two daughters, Jessica A. (Keith Murry) Williamson of Warren, Ohio, and Annette J. Schick of Kinsman, Ohio; six grandchildren, Ainsley, Aden, Nicole, Mackenzie, Zachary, and Dillon; a great-grandson, Theo with one-on the way; three sisters, Phyllis L. (Ron) Tingler of Custer, South Dakota, Sandy G. (George) Allen of Champion, Ohio, and Sharon R. (Terry) VanKanegan of Kinsman, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews. 

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024, at 6:00 PM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio. A private burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 16th from 4:00 PM until the time of services.
