Rex C. Barnes

Rex C. Barnes, age 74, of Sarasota, Florida, died February 19, 2010. He was born May 10, 1935, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, a son of Ralph B. and Frances S. (Sanford) Barnes. Mr. Barnes was employed by General Electric for many years and retired to Sarasota. He served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Barnes was a member of the Kiwanis Club. He is survived by his two daughters, Bonnie B. Myer, of Sarasota, FL, and Cathy Devengencie, of Warren, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Marlene Hoover. A graveside service will be Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Maple Grove Cemetery, Andover, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O.
