Richard W. Difford

Orwell, Ohio - Richard William Difford, age 66, died on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at UHHS Geauga after a brief illness. He was born on May 22, 1949 in Greenville, Pennsylvania a son of Dorothea Ruth (York) and Harold Eugene Difford. Formerly of Kinsman, Ohio, Rich was a 1967 graduate of Joseph Badger High School and served in the United States Air Force for 20 years. After retiring from the service, Rich worked for the former Lexington Connector Seals of Vienna, Ohio and most recently drove wheelchair bus for Lake Vista of Cortland, Ohio. On June 15, 1996 he married Linda Mae Bywaters. He enjoyed riding his trike as a member of the V-TWIN Cruisers Motorcycle Club, Warren Chapter, where he was the membership director. He also drove for the Amish and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. > Rich is preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Kay L. Harper. Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Linda M. Difford; a daughter, Tina M. Difford of Cortland, Ohio; a son, Robert E. (Dawn) Difford of Greene, Ohio; a daughter, Stacey L. (Adam) Morton of Eleanor, West Virginia; a son Larry D. (Lisa) Salisbury of Elkview, West Virginia; six grandchildren, Kevin, Victoria, Kimberly, Seth, Hannah and Chloe; two great grandchildren, Sophia and Bentley and a brother, Kenneth Difford of Sarasota, Florida. > A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 11, 2016 at 11:00 am at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio. Burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 10th from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the V.A.
