Andover, Ohio - Richard Lewis Reynolds, age 67, died unexpectedly on Sunday, August 28, 2016 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was born on September 7, 1948 in Malden, Massachusetts a son of Dorothy Elizabeth (Bell) and Charles Raymond Reynolds, Sr. Richard graduated as the class valedictorian from Pymatuning Valley High School in 1967, attended Allegheny College and graduated from The Ohio State University. For over thirty years, Richard was a metal analyst for Greenville Metals of Transfer, Pennsylvania, since 1973. A gentleman farmer, and a longtime New Lyme resident, he had a love of antique tractors and gardening. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charles R. Reynolds, Jr. Survivors include his life partner, James D. Alkire of Andover, Ohio; his twin brother, Edward M. (Marilyn) Reynolds of Dorset, Ohio; brothers, Robert D. (Claudia) Reynolds of Dorset, Ohio and Timothy J. Reynolds of Andover, Ohio; a sister, Debbie A. (Jerry) Hale of Andover, Ohio as well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 at Noon at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio. Burial will follow in Brownville Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 1st from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
