Greene, Ohio - Robert Emmett Baker, Sr., age 77, died on Monday, September 7, 2015, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was born on December 23, 1937, in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of Cathleen (Moody) and Oscar Franklin Baker. Mr. Baker worked for the former Youngstown Steel Door of Austintown, Ohio and Samco Sand & Gravel of Windsor, Ohio. On April 1, 1957 he married Barbara Ann Pietrusinski. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Kinsman, Ohio. Mr. Baker was a member of Gustavus Masonic Lodge, where he was Past Master, a Knight of York Cross of Honor, a Past Monarch of Ali Baba Grotto, and also Past Patron of Hartford Eastern Star. Bob enjoyed being surrounded by his loving family, and also rabbit hunting with his favorite dog, Peanut. He is preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Cody N. Smith and two brothers, Kenneth Baker and Jack Baker. Survivors include his wife of fifty-eight years, Barbara A. Baker; two daughters, Christine F. Spala and Susan C. (Randall) Rickard; a son, Robert E. (Janet) Baker, Jr.; a sister, Dorothy McKeown; six grandchildren and five great grandsons. A private service follwed by Masonic rite will be held, with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery in Greene, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gustavus Lodge, PO Box 411, Kinsman, OH 44428.
