Andover, Ohio – Robert J. Ball, age 64, died on Tuesday, July 14, 2015, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, following a brief illness. He was born on August 4, 1950, in Princeton, West Virginia, a son of Lavina Rose (Campbell) and Howard Robert Ball. Robert served in the United States Navy. On March 5, 1983 he married Terri Lynn Brewer. He worked for the former Geneva Rubber for thirty years. Robert was a fan of old Western movies, enjoyed fishing and camping and was known for his joking nature, storytelling abilities as well as singing and playing his guitar. He is preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Timothy Robert Ball; a grandson, Brandon Neal VanWinkle and three sisters, Judy Ball, Shirley Pace and Carol Davis. Survivors include his wife of thirty-two years, Terri L. Ball; five children, Mindy S. (Danny) Metz of Andover, Ohio, Teresa L. (Roger) Dean of Dorset, Ohio, Tamela S. (Eric) Ellsworth of Colebrook, Ohio, William C. (Melissa) Strang of Williamsfield, Ohio and Jessica J. (Aaron) Haapala of Andover, Ohio; two step children, MaryAnn VanWinkle of Painesville, Ohio and Howard (Alberta) Strang of Garrettsville, Ohio; a great niece that Robert & Terri raised, Yvonne D. Luther of Dorset, Ohio; two sisters, Patricia Chike of Jefferson, Ohio and Betty Lamb of Andover, Ohio; eighteen grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 4:00pm at the Pymatuning Comminity Church, 6459 State Route 7, Andover, Ohio, with Pastor Steve Mickels officiating.
