Robert Eugene Benton

Robert Eugene Benton, age 48, of Warren, Ohio, passed away on May 10, 2014, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren from complications due to illness. He was born October 18, 1965, in Warren, OH, to Donald E. Benton and Beverly J. (Gray) Benton. A factory worker most of his life, Robert enjoyed movies, video games, fishing, sports, and spending time with friends and family. Robert is survived by his father, Donald E. Benton, and step mother, Diana (Carnahan) Benton, of Leavittsburg, OH; his brother, Donald E. (Sheri) Benton, Jr. of Hermitage, PA; sister, Irene (Paul) Kurtz of Warren, OH; sister, Beth (Brian) Drescher of Warren, OH; step brother, Walter Rick Jones of Girard, OH; step sister, Hope (Rich) Hansen of Hyrum, UT; step sister, Pamala (Christopher) Hayes of Leavittsburg, OH; his uncle, Ronald C. Gray; step uncle, Roy Draa; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother and grandparents. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 16, 2014, at 11:00 AM at the Leavittsburg Church of God, 610 South Leavitt Rd., Leavittsburg, OH,with Pastor Mitchel Meadors officiating. Calling hours will be held Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. A private burial of Robert's cremated remains will take place later in West View Cemetery in Vernon township, OH.
