Espyville, Pennsylvania - Robert Matthew Claypoole, age 73, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was born on January 19, 1951, in Leechburg, Pennsylvania, the son of Dorothy Madeline (Campbell) and Clarence Neale Claypoole. Bob grew up in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Kiski Area Senior High School in 1970. High School sweethearts, Bob married Kathy Ann Snyder on September 4, 1971. 

For twenty-seven years, he was a forklift operator and truck driver for Tel-O-Post of Linesville, Pennsylvania, before working for Excalibur Machine of Conneaut Lake, Pennsylvania until he retired in 2011.

Bob was an outdoorsman. It began at the family camp his father built in 1947, in the hills of the Alleghany mountain, starting his love of fishing and hunting. He was a longtime member of the Sportsman Club of Marienville, Pennsylvania, and enjoyed his rides on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

On July 11, 1985, the love of his life Kathy, and his young son, Robert, were tragically taken from this life, by an automobile accident. Bob is also preceded in death by his parents and sister, Norma Zelinsky. Survivors include his son, Christopher M. (Christine) Claypoole of Andover, Ohio; grandsons, Braden, and Bennett; two sisters, Nancy Kobulik, and Susan Daughtery both of Ocala, Florida; and his special sister-in-law, who helped care for Bob in his last weeks, Doris Woodhall of Leechburg, Pennsylvania.
