Robert E. Dillen

"Bob's last hand" Robert E. Dillen, age 61, of Williamsfield,OH, died Saturday, April 12, 2008, at the Erie VA Medical Center, Erie, PA. He was born December 28, 1946, in Greenville, PA, the son of Carl and Norma (Cadman) Dillen. Formerly of Jamestown, PA and a long time Pierpont resident, Robert had lived in Williamsfield for the past three years. He was a 1964 Jamestown Area High School graduate; and he served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era. Robert was employed by Westinghouse for sixteen years; he owned and operated with his wife Theatre Video in Jefferson from 1985 to 2000 and also G & D Metal Detectors in Pierpont; and was head security guard for Pymatuning Valley Resort since 2002. Robert was an avid online Texas Hold 'Em player; and he loved to fish, hunt, golf, and do metal detecting. Robert is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sara S. (Gosnell) Dillen, whom he married Feb. 20, 1966; his daughter, Tammy Dillen of Erie, PA; his son, Rich (Kim) Dillen of Charlotte, NC; his parents, Carl and Norma Dillen of Jamestown, PA; two brothers, Dan (Diane) Dillen of Erie, PA, and Tom (Marian) Dillen of Jamestown,PA; one sister, Cindy Buchanan of New Hampshire; his four grandchildren, Whitley and Jordan Fitchie, and Andrew and Nia Dillen; many aunts and uncles; and his cat, Bear. A funeral service will be on Friday, April 18, 2008 at 6:00 P.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, Ohio. Following the service, everyone is invited to a reception at the Pymatuning Valley Resort, 7652 Pymatuning Lake Rd. Please bring your favorite baked good or covered dish to share. Calling hours will be held on Thurs. April 17th from 4:00P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Erie VA Hospice, 135 E. 38th St., Erie, PA 16504. "He's all in."
