Andover, Ohio - Robert B. Litwiler, 75, a lifelong resident of Andover, died on May 1, 2006 at his residence. Mr. Litwiler was born on August 27, 1930 in Andover to Alvie B. and Ruth (Lane) Litwiler. He was a 1948 graduate of Andover High School. Mr. Litwiler served in the United States Army for two years. He was a project supervisor for the Ohio State Highway Department for thirty years. Mr. Litwiler was a life member of both the Percy D. Hyatt American Legion Post #226 and of the Cache Comandery #27 Knights Templar of Ohio. He was also a member of the Grand Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons of Ohio, Triandria of Rock Creek; the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Ohio, Jefferson Chapter #141; the Grand Council Royal & Selected Masons of Ohio, Conneaut Council #40 and the Shriner, Al Koran Shrine of Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Litwiler is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Phyllis M. Casbourne, January of 2005 and two sisters, Donna Wentink and Kathleen Wilcox. Survivors include a son Alvie W. R. (Doreen) Litwiler of Grand River, Ohio; a grandson, Carson Litwiler of Grand River; a granddaughter, Jillian Litwiler in the United States Air Force in California; and a sister Edyth (Bruce) Hartz of Warren, Ohio.
