Robert J. Magyar

Wayne, Ohio - Robert J. Magyar, age 73, died suddenly on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at UHHS Geauga Hospital. He was born on June 20, 1934, in Wayne, Ohio to Joseph and Magdelina (Kondrat) Magyar. A lifelong Wayne resident, Bob was a 1952 graduate of Williamsfield High School. A lifelong grain and dairy farmer, Bob was the owner and operator of Magyar Farms. He was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Orwell, Ohio, where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. On January 7, 1961 he married Anita E. Boyle. Bob was a member of the Ohio Farmers Union and served as Wayne Township Trustee since 1977. He enjoyed polka dancing and spending time with his family. Preceding him in death are his parents, an infant sister, and sisters, Barbara Toth, Mary Kaibas, Helen Sibrava and Jennifer McGee. Survivors include his wife of forty-seven years, Anita E. Magyar of Wayne, Ohio; three daughters, Lisa A. Hartman of Kinsman, Ohio, Kathy M. (Mark) Miller of Highlands, North Carolina, Laurie S. (Rob) Inman of Wayne, Ohio; a son, Jeffrey R. (Mary Beth) Magyar of Wayne, Ohio; a sister, Theresa Magyar McCorkell of Midway City, California; eleven grandchildren, Stephanie (George) Wallace, Jennifer and Heather Hartman, Michael Magyar, Mitchell, Mackenzie and Mason Inman, Michelle, Rob, Rebecca and Allison Magyar; two great grandchildren Kendra and Georgie Wallace and many beloved nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 14, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Orwell, Ohio, with Rev. Gregory Fedor officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2008 at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio, from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., and on Monday at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of services.
