Robert E. Seeholzer, age 78, of Andover, Ohio, died Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at the Andover Village Retirement Community. He was born June 7, 1934, in Cleveland,Ohio, the son of Edward A. and Donna (Steinmetz) Seeholzer. Mr. Seeholzer was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the U.S. Navy. He was employed as a machinist for Cleveland Twist Drill, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Andover; and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Seeholzer attended the First United Methodist Church of Andover. He married Joan P. (Blood) on February 6, 1981; and she preceded him in death on Oct. 5, 2011. He is also preceded in death by his parents; a step daughter, Debora Kobylinski; and three sisters, Mary Ann Brosch, Betty Rose Matthews, and Jeanne Bangert. He is survived by a step son, Michael S. (Marie) Becvar of Hilton Head Island, SC; and four grandchildren, Jeremy D. Bailey, Jason M. Bailey, Johrdan L. Knowles, and Michael D. Becvar. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at 12:00 Noon at the First United Methodist Church, 181 S. Main St., Andover,OH, with Rev. Vernon Palo officiating. Mr. Seeholzer will be cremated and his cremated remains will be placed at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
