ROME- Roby L. Farmer, 87, passed away February 18, 2024, at Hospice Medina Impatient Unit.
Born February 22, 1936, in Ragland, WV, he was a son of the late Earl Ray and Gladys L. (Varney) Farmer. On December 24, 1954, Roby married the love of his life, Margaret Boehm. An outdoorsman, one could find Roby out in the woods hunting. He particularly enjoyed coon hunting with his dogs and was a member of the Lakeview Coon and Fox Hunters Association. He also valued spending time with his family and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his six brothers, Earl Ray Farmer, Jr., Bobby Farmer, Sr., Jack Farmer, Jerry Farmer, Eugene Farmer, and Donald Farmer; two sisters, Mabel Bolen and Sandra Elliott.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of almost 70 years, Margaret Farmer; children, Jimmy (Beatrice) Farmer, Dianna (Lee) George, Ricky Farmer, Karen (Tim) Hardin, Rodney (Karen) Farmer and Pam (Corey) Corson; eleven grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; sister, Donna Faye Beckner and two brothers, Columbus (JoAnn) Farmer, and Steve Farmer
Private services will be held. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Private burial of cremated remains will take place at a later date in New Lyme Township.
