Roger D. Fetters, Sr., age 77, of Andover, Ohio, died Monday, October 24, 2005 at the Andover Village Retirement Community, Andover, OH. He was born July 24, 1928, in New Lyme township, OH, to the late Roy A. and Wilma M. (BeBout) Fetters. A lifetime area resident, Mr. Fetters was a graduate of the New Lyme Deming School. He was a salesman for Western Reserve Co-Op, formerly Country Mark and Farm Bureau; as well as being a farmer. Mr. Fetters was a lifetime member of the Cherry Valley United Methodist Church; a lifetime member of the Laker Ruritan's Club; and a former member of the Pymatuning Valley School Board. His hobbies included woodworking; and he owned and enjoyed his draft horses, Prince and King; and he had a love for his farm. Mr. Fetters was wed to Jeanne Anthony Crislip June 27, 1948 until August 31, 1979; and he wed Nettie Morse on November 7, 1993. He is survived by his wife, Nettie Morse Fetters, of Andover; three sons, Gary (Terri) Fetters of Prescott Valley, Arizona, Roger (Cindy) Fetters, Jr. of New Lyme twp., OH, and Bradley (Jodie) Fetters of Denmark twp., OH; three daughters, Gail (Gary) Graves of New Lyme township, OH, Julie (Bob) Wood of Denmark twp., OH, and Jill Orris of Rocky River, OH; a step son, Dennis (Allison) Carmichael of Kinsman, OH; two step daughters, Carla (Hank) Smith of Hartford, OH, and Bette (Dominic) Gualtieri of Hiram, OH; one sister, Emogene Smith of Austinburg, OH; one brother, Lee Fetters of New Lyme twp., OH; 15 Grandchildren; 6 Step Grandchildren; and 7 Great Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Vernon, Roy, Jr., and Victor Fetters; and two sisters, Glenna Lipps and Rosalyn Beckwith. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at the Cherry Valley United Methodist Church, corner of St. Rt. 193 and 6, Cherry Valley township, OH, with Rev. Julie Hanneman and Rev. Helen Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Brownville Cemetery, New Lyme twp., OH. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, October 26th from 1 to 3 P.M. and 5 to 8 P.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, OH. Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of one's choice.
