Roger L. Mellon,

Hartford, Ohio - Roger L. Mellon, Sr., age 62, died on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at his home. He was born on March 23, 1947, in Glendale, West Virginia, the son of Lorraine C. (Allison) and Carl M. Mellon. Mr. Mellon was a 1965 graduate of Cameron High School in Cameron, West Virginia. An area resident for the past twenty years, he worked for Time Square Restaurant in Kinsman, Ohio for many years, retiring in March of this year. Mr. Mellon enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, going fishing and attending Truck Night at Yankee Lake. Preceding him in death is his father,Carl Mellon and step father, George Goudy. Survivors include a daughter, Michelle R. (Shawn) Mellon-Junk of Greenville, Pennsylvania; two sons, Roger L. (Marlene) Mellon, Jr. of Hartford, Ohio, and Frank E. (Megan) Mellon; his mother, Lorraine C. Goudy of Moundsville, West Virginia; eight grandchildren, Shane, Shannon, Kathleen, Jay Thomas, Heather, Cassandra, Samuel, Briana and Brooklyn; two sisters, Diane Anderson of Bristolville, Ohio and Hazel Marie Midcap of Moundsville, West Virginia; two brothers, Thomas Hartzel of Breezwood, North Carolina and Leroy Hartzel of Moundsville, West Virginia. Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 2, 2009 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio.
