Roland E. Hall

Roland E. "Shorty" Hall, age 82, of Warren, Ohio, died Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at Community Skilled Health Care Centre in Warren. He was born September 2, 1930, in Painesville, Ohio, a son of Lawrence D. and Edith (Collum) Hall. A long time Warren resident, Mr. Hall was formerly of Hartford, Ohio. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Army. He was employed for many years as a truck driver for H & R Trucking; and later as a courier for W.J. Alarm Co. in Warren. In his earlier years he was associated with the operation of Rainbow Lanes in Warren. While living in Texas Mr. Hall attended the Cornerstone Church. He enjoyed bowling, playing horseshoes, and fishing. Mr. Hall married Barbara J. (Whitmore) on December 8, 1950, and she preceded him in death on March 14, 2004. He is also preceded by his parents; two great grandchildren; two brothers; and one sister. He is survived by son, Roland J. Hall, Sr. of Shreveport, LA, daughter, Patricia K. Hall-Worthy of Ozark, MO, son, Doug Hall of Warren, OH, daughter, Victoria L. Hall-Clark of San Antonio, TX, son, Timothy A. Hall of Warren, OH, daughter, Ova L. Hall of Ravenna, OH, son, Steve E. Hall of Newton Falls, OH, daughter, Pamela S. Hall of Rome, OH; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; one brother; and one sister. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at 4:00 PM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main St., Kinsman, OH. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 2:00 PM until the time of services at 4:00 PM. A private interment of cremated remains will take place in Kinsman Cemetery.
