Ronald H. Smith

Andover, Ohio - Ronald H. Smith, age 65, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 25, 2008, after a two year battle with skin cancer. He was born on August 13, 1943, in Warren, Ohio, the son of Harold Tyler Smith and Helen Adell (Winans) Smith. A longtime area resident, Mr. Smith resided in Tallahassee, Florida from 1980 to 1993. Mr. Smith was employed by Target Stamped Products, formerly of Andover, Ohio, the Stanadyne Industries of Tallahassee, Florida, and locally drove Amish. He enjoyed fishing, tending to his yard, tinkering with cars and spending time with his family. Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Linda L. (Pilson) Smith of Andover,Ohio; three sons, Ronald L. (Sue) Smith of Andover, Ohio, Shawn A. (Leigh) Smith of Painsville, Ohio, and Matthew A. (Brandy) Smith of Middlefield, Ohio; two sisters, Ruth Ann (Ben) Nardi of Thurmont, Maryland and Betty (Wayne McAllister) Gearhart of Cortland, Ohio; a brother, Donald E. (Linda) Smith of Hubbard, Ohio; six grandchildren, David, Ashley, Nicole, Samantha, Shawna, and Connor; two great grandchildren Cameron and Danielle and his dogs that he dearly loved Lady and Tramp. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at 4:00 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church,181 S. Main St.,Andover, Ohio, with Rev. Vernon I. Palo officiating.
