Rose M. Donaldson, age 68, of Batavia, New York, died on Saturday, September 13, 2008. She was born on June 9, 1940, in Middlefield, Ohio, the daughter of William and Hazel (Chubb) Donaldson. Miss Donaldson was a 1958 graduate of Kinsman High School and a 1962 graduate of Kent State University. Formery of Kinsman, Ohio, Miss Donaldson lived in Batavia, New York, since 1967. She was a biology teacher at Alexander Central School in Alexander, New York, for over thirty years. Miss Donaldson was awarded the University of Rochester's excellence in secondary School Teaching in 1987. She was a member of the New York State Retired Teachers's Association. Miss Donaldson was a nature lover and loved flower gardening. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Grace Motil. Survivors include two brothers, Paul J. Donaldson of Mesopotamia, Ohio and Lee A. (Mary Ann) Donaldson of Williamsfield, Ohio; a sister, May C. (Glenn) Raymond of Kinsman, Ohio; a friend, Greg I. Curtin of Batavia, New York, and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 19, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio. Burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Thursday, Sept. 18th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
