Roy R. Draa

Roy R. Draa, age 69, of Vernon township, OH, died on Monday, December 15, 2014, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren, Ohio. He was born March 13, 1945, in Painesville, Ohio, a son of Gordon P. Draa and Frances L. (Rose) Aponas. Roy was a 1963 graduate of Joseph Badger High School in Kinsman. He was employed by Cleveland Brass Co. in Kinsman, OH, and also as a crane operator at Nick Strimbu, Inc. in Brookfield, OH. Roy was an avid fisherman and hunter; and was a supporter of the N.R.A. He is survived by his two daughters, Denise (Ken) Moore of Charlestown, IN, and Darice Draa of Vienna, Ohio; a son, Dwayne Draa; his mother and step father, Frances and Harry Aponas of Brunswick, Maine; a sister, Janet (Bill) Siniscalchi of Brunswick, Maine; five grandchildren, Brian, Alyssa, Zachary, Michael, and Joenus; a close friend, like a son, Glenn Ryhal; and his beloved dog, Gunner. He is preceded in death by his father; and a son, Brock Engle. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 7:00 PM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main St., Kinsman,OH, with Pastor Gordon Ferguson officiating. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 5:00 PM until the time of service. A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 19th at 11:00 AM at West View Cemetery, Vernon township, OH.
