Ruth Ella Kolson

Ruth Ella Kolson, 92yrs old, of Burton, Ohio, died on Tuesday, December 23, 2003, at Burton Health Care Center, Burton, Ohio. Mrs. Kolson was born in Bristol, PA, on November 22, 1911 to the late Susan (Douglass Tharpe) Goodman and the late Daniel S. Goodman. Living in Trumbull County for most of her life, Mrs. Kolson has lived in Burton since 1995. A homemaker, Mrs. Kolson also worked as a waitress and was a caregiver for many years. Her hobbies included sewing, cooking, and gardening. Mrs. Kolson married Arthur V. Kolson on May 15, 1952. He died May 6, 1962. Also preceding her in death are her first husband, Amos W. Powell; two brothers, Walter and Robert Goodman; and two sisters, Edna Little and Gertrude Fruiterman. She is survived by her son, James N. (Kay) Powell of Burton, OH; her daughter, Judith A. (Irwin) Miner of Cortland, OH; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2003, at 12:00p.m. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio. Burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery.
