Ruth Lieb

Ruth Lieb, 79 years old, of Kinsman, Ohio, died on Friday, December 24, 2004, at UPMC Horizon Hospital in Greenville, PA. Ruth was born on July 9, 1925, in Barnesboro, PA, to the late Anthony Lapso and the late Ann (Gulach) Lapso. A long time Kinsman resident, Mrs. Lieb was formerly of Punxsutawney and Indiana, PA. She was employed for 19 years as a receptionist for Dr. William Campbell in Kinsman. Mrs. Lieb was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Kinsman, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. Her hobbies included sewing and traveling. Mrs. Lieb married Max C. Lieb on July 14, 1951. Preceding her in death are her parents; her son, Terrence J. Lieb on November 27, 2002, and her brother, George Lapso. She is survived by her husband, Max C. Lieb of Kinsman, OH; her son, Dennis J. Lieb of Sharon, PA; her two daughters, Mary R. Place of Gustavus, OH; and Ann M. Fedorko of Omaha, NE; her three brothers, Dennis Lapso of Cleveland, OH; Tony Lapso, Jr., of Barnesboro, PA; and Russell Lapso of Chicago, IL; her four sisters, Betty Valaiki of Front Royal, VA; Nancy Rogal of Barnesboro, PA; Priscilla Collins of Hockessin, DE; and Carol Pettee of Genoa, IL; her seven grandchildren, Sara Schenker of Sharpsville, PA; Joseph Lieb of Sharpsville, PA; Elizabeth Evans of Dayton, OH; Marie Place of Gustavus, OH; Jennifer Place of Gustavus, OH; Rebecca Fedorko of Omaha, NE; and Rachel Fedorko of Omaha, NE. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2004, at 11:00a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 6397 St. Rt. 87, Kinsman, OH, with Father David Misbrener officiating. Burial of cremated remains will follow at a later date in St. Nicholas Cemetery in Nicktown, PA. Calling hours will be Wednesday, December 29th from 6p.m. to 8p.m. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main St., Kinsman, OH.
