Kinsman, Ohio - Ruth G. (Queale) Mason, age 88, died on Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at UPMC Horizon Hospital in Greenville, Pennsylvania. She was born on October 31, 1920, in Kinsman, Ohio the daughter of the late Arner H. and Geraldine (Coursen) Queale. Mrs. Mason was a 1938 graduate of Kinsman High School. A lifelong Kinsman resident, she loved her family, and many friends. Mrs. Mason managed the Mahoning National Bank in Kinsman for over thirty years and retired in 1983. She was a former member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Warren, Ohio, where she was active and held different offices. Mrs. Mason became a member of the Kinsman United Methodist Church in 2003. She was active in many local organizations, many times as President or Treasurer. She enjoyed playing bridge and was an avid golfer. Mrs. Mason is preceded in death by three husbands, Ivan K. Jewell, PFC of the United States Marine Corps, who was killed in action in 1945; Frank A. Dibell who died in 1959; and Michael Mason who died in 2000; a sister, Mary Williams; a brother, A. Howard Queale and a niece Nancy Jo Williams. Mrs. Mason will be sadly missed by her daughter, Linda Jewell (Peter) Kress of Kinsman; a sister, Marcena Dilley of Cortland, Ohio; four grandchildren, David (Brenda) Mauk of Las Vegas, Nevada, Jeffrey Mauk of Deerfield Beach, Florida, Tony (Jennifer) Mason of New Middletown, Ohio and Connie (Chris) Spin of Boardman, Ohio; seven great grandchildren, Bryana Mauk Marks, USAF England, Brittany and Adam Mauk of Cortland, Michael and Mary Grace Mason, and Jacob, Noelle and Jackson Spin; a niece, Zee (Rick) Dilley Altizer of Spokane, Washington and a nephew, Daniel Dilley of Lexington, North Carolina Mrs. Mason lived the past two years at St. Paul Homes in Greenville, Pennsylvania, and the family would like to extend their thanks for their wonderful loving care. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 15, 2008 at 11:00AM at Baumgardner Funeral Home 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio, with Rev. David McKinnon officiating. Burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2008 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM at the funeral home.
