Ruth Marie Menock

Kinsman, Ohio - Ruth Marie Menock, age 89, died at her home, with her family by her side, on November 18, 2017. She was born on June 6, 1928, in Orangeville, Ohio, a daughter of Mayme Ethel (Apthorpe) and John Henry Bloss. Ruth was a 1946 graduate of Kinsman High School. In November of 1950 she married James Murray Menock, Sr. She was an EMT for the Kinsman Volunteer Fire Department for over twenty-two years and was a member of their Women’s Auxiliary and served as their first President. Ruth also worked at several Kinsman business, the Tea Room, Rexall Drug Store, the Golden Dawn grocery and she was a sales rep. for Stanley vacuums. She attended the Kinsman United Methodist Church and enjoyed roller skating. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; a son, James Murray Menock, Jr.; grandson, Cory David Croft; an infant sister and four brothers, William, Richard, Gilbert and Kenneth Bloss. Survivors include her husband of sixty-seven years, James M. Menock, Sr. of Kinsman, Ohio; a son, David John Menock of Kinsman; two granddaughters, Dawn Renee (Jamie) McDevitt of Seward, Alaska and Heather Marie Menock of Kinsman and three great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 2:00PM at Kinsman Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 26th from 2:00pm until 4:00pm at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio.
