Ruth M. Petre

RUTH M. PETRE, age 86, died Friday, September 22, 2006, at Grand Valley Country Manor in Windsor, Ohio. She was born July 24, 1920 in Cleveland,Ohio, to Elmo and Inez (Eckhardt) Anderson. Formerly of Mentor and Andover, Ruth had been living in Windsor for the past eight years. She was employed by the A & P grocery store in Willoughby and retired from the Chardon store after more than 25 years of employment. Her hobbies included cross stitching and ceramics. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Edna L. Balsiger of Andover; two sons, Ray S. Petre, Jr. of Nixa, Missouri, and Jack Petre of Mentor, OH; Several Brothers and Sisters;7 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 8 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Kenneth J. Petre; grandson, Charles A. Balsiger; and several brothers and sisters. A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 25, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, OH. Burial will follow in Dart Cemetery, Richmond Township, OH. Calling hours will be on Monday from 12 Noon until the time of service at 2 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association, 4500 Rockside Rd.
