Ruth J. (Tucker) Logan, age 85, of Williamsfield,OH, went home to be with the Lord on March 2, 2012. She was born April 24, 1926, in Kinsman,OH, a daughter of Harold B. Tucker and Mary A. (Carr). A lifetime area resident, Ruth was a 1944 graduate of Kinsman High School, where she sang in the opretta. She worked at Packard before becoming a homemaker and loving mother. She loved being with her family. Along with her family she operated a greenhouse, blueberry and Christmas tree farm for many years. Ruth was a member of the Williamsfield United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher for 17 years. She also was a member of the Williamsfield Mothers' Club; and a 50+ year member of the Richfield Grange. She volunteered for the American Red Cross blood drives; and worked for the Board of Election for 30 years. Ruth was a member of the Williamsfield Community Center Citizens Committee, where she was active in fundraising through dinners, cooking and baking for special events, and helping with funeral dinners. In addition, she was part of the committee that held Thursday afternoon card group for several years. Ruth was preceded in passing by her parents; her step father, "Pop", Paul Artman; three sisters, Mildred Applegate, Doris Stanford, and Carme Louk; and one brother, Howard Tucker. Loving memories of Ruth will be treasured by her three daughters, Darla Carter of Andover, OH, Jacklynn (David) Olson of Williamsfield,OH, and Lori (Bob) Coleman of Wayne, OH; 9 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great-great grandchildren; many loving nieces and nephews; dear friends; caring church family; and kind neighbors. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 12:00 Noon at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main St., Kinsman,OH, with Pastor Bob Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in Williamsfield Center Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, March 6th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home and on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
