Ruth J. Weston

Ruth J. Weston, age 83, died on Friday, March 14, 2008 at her home with her family by her side. She was born on March 15, 1924, in Windber, Pennsylvania, to John and Effie Mae (Seace) Swanson. Formerly of Richfield, Ohio, Mrs. Weston was an Andover resident since 1959. She married Charles H. Weston on June 7, 1947, and helped on the family farm. Mrs. Weston formerly attended the Richfield Congregational Church. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, spending time with her grandchildren; and was an avid Cleveland Browns and Indians Fan. She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mary Ostrom and Alice Jarmush; and five brothers, Howard, Clarence, Walter, Donald, and William Swanson. Survivors include her husband of sixty years, Charles H. Weston of Andover, Ohio; two daughters, Doris J. Picken of West Jefferson, Ohio and Linda M. Weston of Andover; two sons, Gary C. Weston and Henry J. (Deborah) Weston, both of Andover; a sister, Gloria Swanson of Andover; and five grandchildren, Nicholas, Teresa, Laura, Todd and Brian. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio. Burial will follow in West Andover Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 17th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
