Ruth Jean Young

RUTH JEAN YOUNG, age 81, died Sunday, October 15, 2006, at her home in Williamsfield, Ohio. She was born March 3, 1925, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Albert Bryan and Faye (Dingman) Wagner. Formerly of Youngstown, Mrs. Young was a 1943 graduate of South High School. She had lived in Williamsfield since 1945. She owned and operated the "Wagon Wheel" Restaurant in Williamsfield; was employed by Nationwide Insurance Company as an agent; and was employed by Sheet and Tube Steel Co. in Youngstown. Mrs. Young was a member of the Williamsfield United Methodist Church; and was active in the Williamsfield P.T.A. in earlier years. She enjoyed traveling, playing bingo, golfing, bowling, knitting, and playing the organ. She also loved animals, but most of all enjoyed and loved her family. Mrs. Young married Walter R. Young on Feb. 22, 1944, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 21, 1971. She is survived by her son, Butch (Sharon) Young of Williamsfield; her two daughters, Linda F. Young of Williamsfield, and Dorothy J. (Ron) Wilcox of Andover; her six grandchildren, Lori Tabor, Bob Young, Kathy Hockman, Travis Palm, Amy Palm, and Brian Young; her three great grandchildren,J.C. Tabor, Nicole Tabor, and Riley Palm; and good friend, Judy Young. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2006, at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, Ohio. Burial will follow in Williamsfield Center Cemetery.
