Sergeant David W. Gordon, 23, died on Friday, September 8, 2006, in Baghdad, Iraq. He was born on July 19, 1983 in Westfield, New York to Rodney W. Gordon and Judy L. (Cook) Gordon. He was a 2000 graduate of South Ridge Christian Academy in Conneaut, Ohio. Sgt. Gordon was serving in the United States Army as an Artilleryman and gave his life in service to his country. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, football, wrestling, playing video games and was a fan of NASCAR racing. Sgt. Gordon is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Billie Cook and Shirley (Kitelinger) Cook; paternal grandmother Peggy Hall; and paternal great grandmother Eva Gordon. Survivors include his mother and step father, Judy L. Gordon and Robert M. Fink Sr. of Williamsfield, Ohio, his father and step mother, Rodney W. Gordon and Cindy Taylor of Corry, Pennsylvania; sisters, Jean M. Gordon and daughter Emma Elizabeth Fuller of Spartansburg, Pennsylvania; twin sisters Tiffany L. and Teresa L. Gordon of Williamsfield, Ohio; step brothers Donald R., Thomas A., Stanley R., David J., Robert M. Jr., and Timothy Fink all of Williamsfield, Ohio; step sisters, Samantha C. Fink of Williamsfield, Ohio, Amanda and Crystal Taylor of Corry, Pennsylvania; paternal grandparents Howard and Linda Gordon of North East, Pennsylvania; his wife Kimber (Zaun) Gordon whom he married on August 9, 2005 and step sons Miguel and Matthew Haro all of Killeen, Texas; 24 aunts and uncles, many cousins, and special friends, Miranda Shine, Ashley Morton, Bryan Murphy and Jason Sherman. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Andover Chriatian Church Family Life Center on Stillman Avenue, Andover, Ohio with Baumgardner Funeral Home, Andover, Ohio handling local arrangements. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 22, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at the Titusville First Presbyterian Church, 216 N. Franklin Street, Titusville, Pennsylvania, with Lt. Col. Chaplain Kenneth Schmidt officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery in Oil City, Pennsylvania.
