Hartford, Ohio-Shevawn Allen, age 55, died unexpectedly on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Meadowbrook Manor in Hartford, Ohio. She was born on January 17, 1956, in Augusta, Georgia, the daughter of Lillian M. (Cropper) and Frank L. Allen. As a newborn â�œMimiâ₝ moved to Kinsman, Ohio, with her very excited new parents. She was a 1974 graduate of Joseph Badger High School. Formerly of Stuart, Florida and Newton Falls, Mimi had been a Hartford resident since 2007. She enjoyed listening to and writing music, playing guitar and piano, reading her favorite magazines and watching 60â�™s and 70â�™s TV shows and movies. She did not live to fulfill her longtime dream of buying a large home. Mimi will be sadly missed by her family, her "family" at Meadowbrook Manor, and by all who were touched by her humor and charm. Mimi is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include an aunt, Helen Allen Johnson of Goldendale, Washington; five cousins, Lorelei (Perry) Allen of Kinsman, Ohio, Holly Allen of Kinsman, Ohio, Melody (Bruce) Allen of Kalamazoo, Michigan, April Allen of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Barbara Nicolino of Benton, Pennsylvania; second cousins, Mason, Dana, Dylan, Mackenzie, Kyra, Nathaniel, Jeff, Michael and Wendi. A private burial will be held in Kinsman Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 525 North Broad St., Canfield,OH 44406, or to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 15120, Chicago, IL 60693-5120.
