Shirley M. Lauer

Bazetta, Ohio - Shirley M. Lauer, age 78, died on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Hospice House of Poland, Ohio. She was born on July 22, 1933 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Margaret (Malloy) and Michael Zippler. A member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Kinsman, Mrs. Lauer was the secretary for Lauer & Sons Construction Company for over thirty-five years. On October 1, 1965 she married Russell George Lauer, Jr. She loved spending time with her sons, grandsons and her cats. Mrs. Lauer is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mary Pinkerton and a step-brother, William Zippler. Survivors include her husband of forty-six years, Russell G. Lauer, Jr. of Bazetta, Ohio; three sons, Ralph M. (Ruth) Barker of Kinsman, Ohio, David C. Barker of San Jacinto, California and Russell G. Lauer, III of Cortland, Ohio; two grandsons, Matthew Barker and Russell G. Lauer IV and a step-brother, Michael Zippler of Butler, Pennsylvania. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 10:00am at Kinsman Cemetery, Church Street, Kinsman, Ohio.
