Siegfried A. "Seggie" Sattelmaier

Siegfried A. "Seggie" Sattelmaier, age 79, of Andover, died Monday, July 5, 2010, at UPMC Horizon Hospital in Greenville, PA. He was born September 23, 1930, in Cleveland,Ohio, a son of August and Elly (Kielbasa) Sattelmaier. A resident of Andover for the past fifteen years, Mr. Sattelmaier was formerly of Kirtland,OH. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict in Germany. He retired from Nickles Bakery in Cleveland after fifteen years; and was formerly employed by the Ward Baking Company in Cleveland for ten years. He loved bird watching, horseback riding, and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Sattelmaier is survived by his wife, Corrinna (Smith) Sattelmaier, whom he married September 13, 1952, of Andover; his son, Michael (Colleen) Sattelmaier of Geauga County, OH; his sister, Erika (Claude) Davis of Maryland; and four grandchildren, Ali, Nick, Brandon, and Justin. He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Ronald Sattelmaier in 2007; and his brother, Hans Werner Sattelmaier. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, Ohio.
