Stanton Lee Hover

Stanton Lee Hover, Sr., age 76, of Gustavus township, OH, died Friday, September 19, 2014, at his home. He was born November 4, 1937, in Kinsman, Ohio, a son of Herald and Lillian (Bauer) Hover. A lifetime area resident, Mr. Hover graduated from Gustavus School. He owned and operated Hover Racing for many years, retiring in 2005. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Warren; and as a young man was a member of the Gustavus Federated Church. His hobbies included stock car racing and fishing; and he was a Dallas Cowboys fan. Mr. Hover is survived by his eight children, Stanton Hover, Jr. of Gustavus township, OH, Chrystal McCrimmon of Champion, OH, Stacie Franks of Cortland,OH, Steven (Bonnie) Hover of Warren, OH, Michael (Pam) Hover of Warren, OH, Beth Shrock of Girard, OH, Lisa Emerson of Warren,OH, and Candice (Mark) Castro of Warren,OH; 13 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren; and one sister, Joyce Byrd of Howland, OH. He is preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Edwin Hover. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 7:00 PM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main St., Kinsman, OH. Calling hours will be Thursday from 6:00 PM until the time of service. A private burial of cremated remains will take place in Gustavus Cemetery.
