Thomas H. Betts,

Thomas H. Betts, Sr., 73 years old, of Johnston Twp, OH, died on November 5, 2004, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, Ohio. Mr. Betts was born on November 27, 1930, in Farmdale, Ohio, to the late Theodore Betts and the late Anna (Thompson) Betts. A life long area resident, Mr. Betts was a welder at the former Van Huffel Tube in Warren for 27 years, and then at Vanex in Niles until his retirement in 1996. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He married Beverly (Lesh) on May 17, 1958. He drove stock cars for many years at various local tracks, and enjoyed watching Nascar, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother; and his brother, Richard Betts. He is survived by his wife, Beverly R. Betts of Johnston Twp, OH; his son, Thomas H. Betts, Jr., of Cortland, OH; his son, Timothy A. Betts of Fowler, OH; his son, Terry R. Betts of Johnston Twp., OH; his son, Tracy L. Betts of Lake Havasu City, AZ; his sister, Maxine Parker of Howland, OH; his sister, Peggy Reeder of Vienna, OH; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio, on Wednesday, November 10, 2004, at 11:00a.m. with Reverend Joel Dickson of the Fowler Community Church officiating.
