Thomas C. Mincer, 55 years old, of Andover, Ohio, died on Monday, March 1, 2004, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Andover, Ohio. Mr. Mincer was born on February 16, 1949, in Greenville, PA, to Kenneth Mincer, Sr. of Ridgeway, VA, and the late Isabelle (Pratt) Mincer. Formerly of Greenville, PA, and Cleveland, OH, Mr. Mincer has lived in Andover for the past 13 years. He was a 1967 graduate of Greenville High School and attended drafting school for 2 years. Mr. Mincer was a mechanical design engineer for St. Gobon, Inc., in Solon, Ohio for 18 years. He was also employed by Cleveland Controls in Parma for 6 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church in Andover, and formerly was an assistant football coach for St. Wendaslass Middle School in Maple Heights, Ohio. His hobbies included making woodcrafts, camping, remodeling his house, and he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Mincer married Sandra A. (Mayer) on September 2, 1967. He was preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his wife, Sandra A. Mincer of Andover, OH; his daughter, Wendy Tobin of Oil City, PA; his son, Jason Mincer of Moon Township, PA; his father, Kenneth Mincer, Sr. of Ridgeway, VA; his sister, Marcia Mincer of Ridgeway, VA; his brother, Kenneth Mincer, Jr. of Ona, WV; his brother, Larry Mincer of Greenville, PA; his brother, Dane Mincer of Transfer, PA; his granddaughter, Ashley Mincer of Andover, OH; his grandson, Thomas Tobin of Oil City, PA; and his grandson, Dustin Tobin of Oil City, PA. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2004, at 12:00p.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church, 481 S. Main Street, Andover, Ohio, with Reverend David Misbrener officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Andover. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, March 3rd from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, Ohio.
