Gustavus, Ohio - Timothy C. George, age 73, died on Thursday, February 28, 2013. He was born on December 19, 1939 in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of Mary (Brozick) and Chester William George. Tim was a graduate of Burton High School and Fenn College of Engineering with a degree in Tool & Die. He was an apprentice at Lincoln Electric before working at Packard Electric and moved on to General Motors of Lordstown where he was a General Forman and retired in 1999 after forty years of service. Tim enjoyed a long career in Tool & Die at GM. On September 22, 1973 he married Barbara Ann Naylor. He was a gentleman farmer and loved being in the quite of the country. Tim was known as "Car Nut" and loved tinkering and building cars which included his 1972 Chevy pickup. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of thirty-nine years, Barbara A. George of Gustavus, Ohio; two daughters, Heather L. (Tim) Paisley of Ravenna, Ohio and Monika L. (Matt) Russell of Columbus, Ohio; two step-sons, Ronald A. (Deborah) Hegedus of Mecca, Ohio and Edward A. (Penny) Hegedus of Austintown, Ohio; two sisters, Elaine Bringinger of Mentor, Ohio and Linda (Rich) Prosek of Erie, Pennsylvania; two brothers, Ed (Penny) George of Orlando, Florida and Craig (Marla) George of Chardon, Ohio; four granddaughters, Valerie, Kensie, Paige, Piper and a great grandson, Deaven. A private burial will be held in Gustavus Cemetery and services will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice, 7206 Market Street, Suite B, Youngstown, OH. 44512.
