Verenia A. Philbrick

VERENIA A. PHILBRICK, age 84, of Jamestown, PA, died Friday, October 24, 2008, at White-Cliff Nursing Home in Greenville, PA. She was born April 29, 1924, in West Farmington, OH, the daughter of James W. and Maude (Lattimore) Cross. Formerly of Gustavus, Ohio, Mrs. Philbrick was a homemaker. She was employed by the former Glauber Brass Co. in Kinsman, Ohio, and also by Bob's Place in Jamestown as a cook. Her hobbies included crocheting and she loved playing Bingo. Mrs. Philbrick is survived by her three sons, William C. (Ruth) Philbrick of Chesterland, OH, Robert A. Philbrick of Girard, PA, and Raymond A. (Deborah) Philbrick of Jacksonville, FL; one brother, Lloyd Cross of Mentor, OH; thirteen grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, LaVerne Williams; two brothers, Eldon and Leland Cross; and two sisters, Grace York and Eleanor Copeland. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main St., Kinsman,OH, with Rev. Larry Myers officiating. Burial of cremated remains will take place in Parklawn Cemetery, Jamestown,PA. Calling hours will be on Saturday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service.
