Gustavus, Ohio â�" Vonda Reid Keeler Jones, age 81, died on Monday, December 3, 2007. She was born on May 4, 1926, in Johnston, Ohio, the daughter of Albert Reid Keeler and Kathryn (Goldstrohm) Keeler. A lifelong area resident, Mrs. Jones was a 1944 graduate of Johnston High School, and graduated from Youngstown State University. In her high school years she waited on people at Islayâ�™s Dairy Restaurant that her parents owned and operated. While putting herself through school, she worked at Blazon Toy factory of Jamestown, Pennsylvania for eleven years, and was also employed at Grinnell and Federal Machine Welding, Plant #4. Mrs. Jones taught third grade at Bloomfield and taught third and fifth grade for Maplewood for sixteen years, until she retired in 1974. She was an Avon consultant for twenty five years and was active as a Scout Leader. Mrs. Jones was a member of Vernon United Methodist Church, and United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Hartford Eastern Star #518, Kinsman Legion Auxillary, the Fowler Civic Club, Neighbor Breakfast Club of Vernon and the Gustavus Womenâ�™s Club. On February 5, 1950, she married Earl E. Jones, Jr. Married for forty seven years, he preceded her in death on November 27, 1997. She is also preceded in death by a son, Raymond P. Jones; three sisters, Margret Smith, Eltha Keeler, and June Smith; and two brothers, Albert Keeler and Elmer Kenneth Keeler. Survivors include a daughter, Linda M. Walton of Cold Water, Michigan; a brother, Thomas I. (Shirley) Keeler of Kinsman, Ohio; a grandson, Zachary; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 7, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio with Rev. John R. Benigas officiating. Burial will follow in West View Cemetery, Vernon, Ohio. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 6th, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
