Gustavus, Ohio - Vonda M. Logan, age 90, died on August 10, 2008, in Leesburg, Florida. She was born on July 1, 1918, in Fowler, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ward E. and Bernice (Goff) Clark. Mrs. Logan was a 1936 graduate of Johnston High School and a 1940 graduate of Kent State University, with a degree in Education. She taught for twelve years in various Trumbull County Schools (Johnston, Kinsman, Vernon, Greene and Gustavus). Starting in 1964, she began working for the Warren Public Library for thirteen years. After she retired in 1977, she volunteered at St. Joseph Hospital and at the Red Cross bloodmobile, for over thirty years. Mrs. Logan was a member of the Champion Christian Church and was an associate member of Kinsman United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Mary Chesney, D.A.R. Chapter of Warren; the Hartford Eastern Star O.E.S. no. 518; and several other social clubs. She enjoyed traveling, reading and music. Mrs. Logan is preceded in death by her husband of forty-two years, Victor G. Logan, whom she married on November 6, 1944. Survivors include a son James E. Logan of Jefferson City, Missouri; a granddaughter, Kristine (Brad) Schrimpf, of Jefferson City, Missouri; two great grandsons, Tyler Logan Schrimpf and Jacob Charles Schrimpf, both of Jefferson City, Missouri.
