Waltraud E. "Kitty" Bonar

Waltraud "Kitty" Emma Viol Bonar, age 84, of Gustavus township, OH, died Thursday, January 3, 2013, at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren,OH. She was born January 5, 1928, in Silesia, Germany, a daughter of Erich and Emma (Reise) Viol. Kitty married Dale A. Bonar on December 1, 1951 in Freising, Germany; then came to Gustavus township, Ohio, where she lived for over sixty years. She was employed as a cook for Gustavus Schools; was a member of the Gustavus Federated Church, where she was very active in the Ladies Aid. Kitty was a great caretaker of her family; and enjoyed flower gardening and cooking. She is survived by her two sons, Tim L. (Kim) Bonar and Tom E. (Bev) Bonar, both of Gustavus township, OH; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Romy (Erich) Schmuckermier of Freising, Germany; one brother, Klaus Viol of Freising, Germany; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband on March 12, 2008; her brother, Kurt Viol; and her sister-in-law, Emma Viol. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 7, 2013, at 11:00 AM at Gustavus Federated Church, 8850 St. Rt. 193, Gustavus township, OH, with Rev. Ronald C. Spore officiating. Burial will follow in Gustavus Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Sunday, January 6th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main St., Kinsman, OH.
