Williamsfield, Ohio - Wandel L. "Butch" Hager age 71, died at his home with his family by his side, on Thursday, February 18, 2016. He was born on March 24, 1944 in Spurlockville, West Virginia, a son of Ellen (Purdue) and Perry Hager. A welder by trade, Mr. Hager was the elected steward of the former Empire Plow of Cleveland for twenty-five years retiring in 2003. On August 26, 1967 he married Lydia Herrera. Mr. Hager enjoyed fishing, collecting antique tractors, riding motorcycles and being able to give rides to those who were handicapped. He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother and three sisters. Survivors include his wife of forty-eight years, Lydia (Herrera) Hager of Williamsfield, Ohio; three daughters, Maritza (Steve) Sansome of Cleveland, Ohio, Aundra Hukill of Waycross, Georgia and Tina (Kris) Jordan of Niles, Ohio; four sons, Jose (Patricia) Herrera of North Ridgeville, Ohio, Leroy Hager of Cleveland, Ohio, Fred (Sam) Jordan and Perry Jordan both of Lordstown, Ohio; a sister, Carol (Albert) May of Wooster, Ohio; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 22, 2016 at 10:00am at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio with Pastor Steven Mickels officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Andover, Ohio. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 21st from 2:00pm until 5:00pm at the funeral home.
