Farmdale, Ohio-Warren D. "Moose" Meardith, III, age 68, died on Monday, September 13, 2010 at Regency Hospital of Ravenna. He was born on December 29, 1941, in Kinsman, Ohio, the son of the late Georgia Mae (Kelly) and Warren D. Meardith, Jr. Moose was a 1960 graduate of Kinsman High School and attended Kent State University for two years. He served in the United States Army from 1964 until 1966. Moose worked for many years for the former Standard Transformer of Warren, Ohio and after its closing went to work at the former Andover Industries of Andover, Ohio. On April 6, 1964 he married Marjorie Mae West. He attended the Kinsman Methodist Church and was formerly the Zoning Inspector for Kinsman township for twelve years. A supporter of his community, Moose was a little league coach for many years and was also a member of the Trumbull County Zoning Inspector Assoc. Moose became very active in the Kinsman Volunteer Fire Department in 1976 and was considered a lifetime member. He was an advanced E.M.T., served as assistant Fire Chief, Fire Department Trustee and ran bingo night at the Fire Department for many years. Moose was an Indians Fan, but most of all loved spending time with his family, watching his grandsons in sports. Survivors include his wife of forty-six years, Marge M. Meardith of Farmdale, Ohio; two sons, Michael W. and wife Robin Meardith of Kinsman, Ohio and Matthew D. Meardith of Farmdale, Ohio; two grandsons, Aaron and Benjamin Meardith both of Kinsman, Ohio; two sisters, Kathleen (Ted) Jones of Andover, Ohio and Kay (Lonnie) Jones of Middlefield, Ohio; and three brothers, E. Donald, William (Sherry) and Walter Meardith all of Cortland, Ohio, along with many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 11:00 am at Baumgardner Funeral Home 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio, with Fire Chaplin, Dale Goist officiating. Burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 17th from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
